Tesco are well aware of the screen being unresponsive and advised me to see if the update that is expected some time this month (February) solves the problem. I have connected to Wifi all over the place and used as a satnav.Bluetooth keyboard sorts out the connector problem. This seems a silly moan but if you but a case with a keyboard the connector will not fit when closed or when open either, maybe a right angled connector will. My biggest moan is that the USB connector is at the bottom.
Touch screen not as responsive as I would like but fine. Kindle could allow the screen backgound to go more grey. Screen brightness and tone/contrast control not as good as it could be. I use mostly to look at email and quickly browse without booting up a laptop or PC and as a Kindle.

Unfortunately it is not, it has exactly the same problem, so we are back off to Tesco later to change it, either for the equivalent samsung or the kindle fire,(if they let us that is?)Ĭan anybody suggest which of those two are better. In the end my wife said that she liked the look and feel of the hudl so decided to choose a different coloured one in the hope it would be ok. She said that the store would exchange for another hudl but an exchange for a different tablet or refund was at the stores discretion - ridiculous!!

I provided my details and she issued me with a code for a replacement. I told the lady that I wasn't happy with that given what the staff member had said and that I wanted a different type of tablet. Despite the fact that I had the receipt confirming it had been purchased only a few days before with my debit card, and I had the card too, they insisted that I had to provide my name address and telephone number, and that they would do a factory reset. Took it back to the local store, as soon as the store assistant saw the box at the customer services desk he said, "left side of screen not working" he went on to explain that there was a fault with them and they had seen lots returned with exactly the same problem.ĭespite this tesco policy is that you have to call customer services and get a code before they will exchange. So I haven’t worked out how to get her games back ? Ive downloaded playstore onto my profile, but I can’t download it onto hers, nor can I download eg YouTube on hers.

Then next thing I did do though was install Google play to avoid losing out on paid for apps he already owned on HUDL, and also keep it familiar to his HUDL. I set up a new Amazon account that has no payment details etc. I don't put restrictions on his, didn't on his HUDL by the time he's old enough to be looking at naughty stuff he will also be smart enough to bypass anything I do to try and stop him.
